I have favored the economy of the Haiku form, as well as its cryptic, inspecific qualities for a long time.

Sometimes, 5-7-5 comes like a prayer, the way the original haiku, the Shema Yisrael, comes in prayer. Other times, I just need to express something that I could not share anywhere else.
